About Similarity
Similarity is a new take on reverse engineering platforms, bringing support for all files into one place with powerful disassembly and decompilation capabilities supported by a constantly expanding dataset to quickly identify known functions. Provided as a cloud service users can upload a file, browse its disassembled code, and let the platform propose names for functions it recognises from other files.
Our Goals
Setting out to create Similarity our aims were threefold:
- To improve access to powerful file analysis tools
- To build a new generation of decompiler, more capable than those available while laying the foundations to extend their capabilities across any file formats and architectures.
- To combine high quality analysis data with powerful backend processing and databasing to enable immediate naming of known functions and libraries, even when the code has changed across versions, recompiles, etc.
The current reverse engineering workflow tends to include a variety of tools, each with their own specific support and functionality and outputting data in different formats. With Similarity we aim to bring that all into one place with the same workflow regardless of the file submitted, while providing additional insight that cuts out the tedious work of identifying and analysing files by applying knowledge of other files with overlaps.
About Us
We are a small team from the Netherlands with extensive experience in reverse engineering and malware analysis, and we bring that to our approach to the development of Similarity.
We are active on Twitter/X and Bluesky, and you can always reach us with any questions/enquiries at support@simil.ar or +31 6 55 22 55 22 (WhatsApp).
